PRIVACY POLICY

The LIBOX Privacy Policy describes how we treat personal information when you use LIBOX product and service. By accessing or using LIBOX, you agree to our Privacy Policy, as outlined below. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not access or use LIBOX.
LIBOX reserves the right to change the Privacy Policy from time to time. Your use of this site will be subject to the most current version of the Privacy Policy at the time of such use.

Personal Information

• You need to set up an account on LIBOX and upload media files. LIBOX asks for some personal information when you create a LIBOX Account, including your email address and a password, which is used to protect your account from unauthorized access.
• You may be asked to create a unique LIBOX username, and have the option to create an alternative username if you don't want your primary username to be publicly associated with your media files.
• LIBOX doesn't store, process or maintain your media files on its servers in order to insure maximum privacy, unless required by services you choose to use e.g. storage or backup solutions.
• When you use LIBOX, LIBOX's servers automatically record certain information about your use. Similar to other web services, LIBOX records information including (but not limited to) user profile (including information that you choose to make available to others as part of your LIBOX user profile and your list of your contacts) account activity (including usage and interaction with LIBOX), data displayed or clicked on (including statistics on page views and UI links); and other log information (including computer and connection information, device capability, bandwidth, browser type, IP-address, date and time of access, cookie ID, and traffic to and from our website).

Uses

• Our primary purpose in collecting information is to improve our services and provide you with a safe, smooth, efficient, and customized experience
• LIBOX collects and uses, or has third party service providers acting on LIBOX's behalf collecting and using, personal data relating to you, as permitted or necessary to:
• provide media sharing services, in particular to convey the media sharing you make by means of the LIBOX software and/or the LIBOX products;
• provide other services for you (as described when we collect the information);
• provide you with customer support and troubleshoot problems;
• compare information for accuracy;
• inform you about service updates and faults;
• request feedback or participation in on-line surveys;
• resolve disputes;
• verify your identity;
• customize, measure, and improve the LIBOX software, our products and websites;
• to improve our search functionality and help you find contacts more easily;
• protect your and LIBOX's interests, including in particular to enforce our Terms of Service and EULA

Information Sharing, Onward Transfer and Disclosure Practices

• You may be interested in inviting your friends to join LIBOX. In the event you wish to use LIBOX's referral service, you will have the possibility of adding one or more email addresses in an online form. The information entered in this form, will only be used for the purposes of automatically generating an email message to these potential LIBOX users. By entering your friend's email address you are confirming that your friend has consented to the supply of their details. LIBOX may identify you as the person who has made the referral in the email sent to your friend.
• You can choose which media file you would like to share and with whom. Only users and Contacts, who received a message from you, will be able to watch the shared media files. Media files which are not shared are kept private and only you can access them with your LIBOX ID and password.
• Users may comment on your media files you shared with them; these comments can be seen by other Contacts with whom you shared the same commented media file with. Comments are stored on LIBOX servers.
• We do not sell, rent or otherwise share your personal information with any third parties except in the limited circumstances described in the LIBOX Privacy Policy, such as when we believe we are required to do so by law.
• LIBOX may sometimes, if necessary, share your personal and traffic data with carriers, partner service providers and/or agents, for example, distributors of LIBOX software and/or LIBOX products, and/or the third party organizations or other providers of email delivery, analytical services, customer support, or hosting services. LIBOX will always require these third parties to take appropriate organizational and technical measures to protect your personal data and traffic data and to observe the relevant legislation.
• Some LIBOX products may be co-branded and offered together with or via a partner company. If you register for or use such products, you consent to both LIBOX and the partner company's use of personal data collected in connection with the co-branded product. LIBOX may offer its products in connection with other websites or services or may team with other online services to give you the combined results of both products/services or additional services and benefits. To determine whether you would benefit from the combined offer, if you have provided your consent, LIBOX may match your email address, and email addresses of your contacts against email addresses you have provided to the third party website/service provider.
• LIBOX shall take appropriate organizational and technical measures to protect the personal data and traffic data provided to it or collected by it with due observance of the applicable obligations and exceptions under the relevant legislation. Your personal and traffic data can only be accessed by authorized employees or consultants of LIBOX that need to have access to this data in order to be able to fulfill their given duties.

Your choices

• You may create a nickname, and change your username and other Account information and privacy settings, by clicking the "Account Settings" link in the top right hand corner of the LIBOX application.
• You may organize, modify or delete your media files, and associated information such as captions and location data following instructions in the FAQ.
• You can delete individual media files that you have on LIBOX by selecting the media files that you wish to delete, then clicking the Trash button. Or you can delete groups of media files using Select All and then clicking the Trash button.
• Visit your LIBOX account information area to edit your profile, default privacy settings for media files, email notification settings, and more.

Changes to Privacy Policy

LIBOX reserves the right to modify the provisions of this Privacy Policy if deemed necessary. We will inform you of these changes by publishing the revised Privacy Policy at libox.com/legal/privacy. You agree that the express acceptance by you, or your continued use of the LIBOX software or LIBOX products, shall constitute your acceptance of the Privacy Policy.

Contacting you

LIBOX may contact you to send you messages about faults and service issues. Further, LIBOX reserves the right to use email, the LIBOX software or SMS to notify you of any eventual claims related to your use of LIBOX software, the LIBOX website and/or LIBOX products, including without limitation claims of violation of third party rights.

LIBOX may send you alerts by email or SMS to notify you when someone has tried to contact you. LIBOX may also use email, SMS or the LIBOX software to keep you up to date with news about the LIBOX software and LIBOX products or to inform you about other LIBOX products or other LIBOX related information. You can opt-out of the receipt of alerts, emails or SMS by clicking the 'unsubscribe' link on the email that you receive or by signing into your account page on the LIBOX site or by clicking the "Account Settings" link in the top right hand corner of the LIBOX application.

If you have registered for or use co-branded LIBOX products, the emails or SMS that you receive may be from our partner company, acting on LIBOX's behalf.
